Milestones
From a neighbourhood shop in 1974 to a family name trusted across decades — every chapter flavoured with authenticity.
Mr. Umedram Nagar opened Jai Shree Ambika Chavana near Raipur Gate with authentic Gujarati recipes and handcrafted care. Freshness was wrapped in simple paper — honesty and hospitality were the true packaging. A neighbourhood shop became the seed of a family legacy.
Consistency and word-of-mouth turned first-time visitors into regulars. Families returned for the same crackle, fragrance and fair dealing — trust earned one packet at a time. Reputation became our strongest recipe.
As Ahmedabad’s Raipur neighbourhood flourished, so did our farsan counter. Traditional namkeen, seasonal sweets and festival favourites filled more homes. The shop grew with the community — never apart from it.
The family launched Vinod Namkeen with the first branded packaging — traditional recipes with a clearer identity. Across generations, the name began to mean authentic taste you could recognise. Heritage found a modern mark without losing its soul.
Production, hygiene and packaging were upgraded so more families could enjoy the same recipes safely and freshly. Tradition stayed at the centre — only the systems around it grew stronger. Quality became both craft and discipline.
The range expanded with festive gifts, premium boxes and presentation worthy of celebrations. From Diwali thalis to everyday namkeen, Vinod Namkeen became a gesture of warmth. Heritage flavour met thoughtful packaging.
In uncertain times, dedication did not waver. Customers still found fresh sweets and namkeen prepared with care. Continuity itself became a promise — the shop remained a familiar place of trust.
Nearly fifty years of loyal customers and family craft called for quiet celebration. Stories of grandparents introducing grandchildren to our mixtures became everyday blessings. Longevity proved what recipes and relationships can build.
Premium packaging, clearer branding and a stronger digital presence helped new families discover an old name. Online and in-store, the standard remained the same: authentic Gujarati taste. Innovation served tradition — never replaced it.
Today the family continues with the same commitment to quality and authenticity that began in 1974. Third-generation care meets recipes protected across decades. Every batch still answers one question — would we serve it to our own family?
Our vision is to bring authentic Gujarati snacks to more families across India and the world. Growth will never mean compromise — only a wider table for the same heritage taste. The next chapter is still written with the values of 1974.
